I think they are better than last year. Enough to making plans for the playoffs? Not yet, but I think they will make some noise.

I thought Washington would be a real darkhorse candidate. The offense was moving all preseason, and continued right to the regular season, and I think the defense is good enough with no really huge holes.

I think Grossman isnt a great QB, but I think hes a good QB for what Washington is doing. He can get rid of the ball fairly quick, and his best throw is the deep ball, which takes advantage of Washingtons speed. If you saw that pass that Armstrong laid out for 18 yds down the field, that ball couldnt have been placed in a better spot. Plus the one he threaded for 39 yds between two Giants to Gaffney, that was nice. Grossman had his receivers leaping on the short ones, but I think the Washington coaches may have figured out how to pull the most out of Rex Grossman.

i did not see that one coming... at least in the other games i lost, i at least knew that the teams i had would lose. in the giants/skins game, i was baffled. with that said, i dont think the giants are that good. i predicted 7-9 or 6-10 for that team including a loss to the skins, but i thought it would be later in the season after the giants had a gauntlet of facing the cowboys, eagles twice, jets, patriots, packers and saints. with that said, i have no idea because i have seen fluky games where people say a team is good after week 1 and then fall apart after that. i'll make my judgement week 3.

I've been a fan since the early 80's... They are a .500 team right now. They really need a consistent QB. If Grossman plays like he did with the Bears when they went to the Super Bowl. They could make the Playoffs.
Giants - lots in injuries
Dallas - no talent (I'm Bias)
Eagles - Are strong & have depth.

The redskins are doing what people have been ignoring all off season, they are improving. This roster is almost completely overhauled since 2009, with only 15 players remaining from that team. We are making smart trades, using the draft, and not over paying people who are just looking for the pay check. Dan Snyder is finally letting the guys who know football run the football team. I don't know if we are there yet, but you can no longer look at the redskins as an easy win, we will show up for every game, and make every team work hard to get a win. If we can continue to improve playoffs are not out of the question next year, or even this year if we can get some breaks.

as long as you have Rex you should be a great team, hell he took the bears to a super bowl and that is not easy to do with the bears

My opinion is, this was just one game. I continue to say this, and that is ONE game only shows potential. The Redskins did play well, and they did better than I expected. But it is so hard to tell just from one game how a team will do. I think the Redskins are showing fans a new perspective of how great they can be, but their win could have come for a variety of reasons. For one, this was the weekend of 9/11. It could have been more of a motivional game from that aspect. Or the Redskins could genuinely be a great team that has finally figured out what works offensively. Are the Redskins a good team? I think they are showing signs of that, and even in pre-season. But I am hesitant to give judgment to any team right now because it is just ONE game. I think the Redskins did show that Rex Grossman is their guy. They also showed that they are able to make great passing plays with Fred Davis, and Santana Moss. I want to see more from the team, but if they play like they did on Sunday for a few more weeks, then I can say that the Redskins are turning into a legitimate contender.
