Why do people think that the San Diego Chargers are completely out of the playoffs?

I will admit that they really aren't a good team, but they can still get a wildcard spot if the following happens.

Chargers (4-7) versus the Bengals (6-5)=The Chargers stop the raging the Bengals.
Steelers (6-5) versus the Ravens (9-2)=The Ravens beat up the Steelers who don't have Ben Roethlisbergers (this is likely to happen)
Dolphins (5-6) versus the Patriots (8-3)=The Patriots actually show up on this day to beat the Dolphins.

Next week:
Chargers (5-7) versus the Steelers (6-6)=The Chargers pull another upset to knock the Steelers out of it.
Bengals (6-6) versus the Cowboys (6-6)=The Cowboys beat the Bengals.
Dolphins (5-7) versus the 49ers (9-2-1)=The 49ers beat up the Dolphins and clinch a playoff spot.

Then all the Chargers would have to do is close out with wins over the Panthers (who are 3-8), the Jets (4-7) and the Raiders (3-8). I think that the San Diego Chargers still have a decent chance since if you think about it, the Chargers have shown that they are never knocked out of it until they are mathematically eliminated. The game is in San Diego this weekend as well, and they are more than likely to be angry after the closes losses to the Buccaneers, Broncos and the Ravens while the Bengals will probably walk in as being over confident. The Steelers probably aren't going to have Ben Roethlisberger and they are slowly being to reel on offense. What are their playoff chances in your opinion?
beginning to reel on offense*
